SEDC's investment portfolio as at 31 December 2009 stands at a total amount of RM761.33 million. SEDC's major investment is in the Tourism and Leisure Sector amounting to RM544.43 million or 72% of the total investment portfolio. This is followed by Agro-Food Based Sector which amounts to RM61.15 million or 8% of the investment portfolio. Investment in the Mineral & Mining and Roads & Works Sector amounts to RM 17.19 million (2%), whereas the Entrepreneur Development Sector amounts to RM8.79 (1%).

 

The balance of RM129.77 million or 17% of the investment portfolio is made up of other investments. These are mainly investments in companies involved in manufacturing and trading, investment in quoted shares as well as investment in unit trust and money market instruments.
