SeDidik Sdn Bhd is a non-profit organisation with its headquarters in Kuching. Its core business is to manage the Child and Family Development Programme for Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC). Conceived under the Corporation's Community Development Division, the organisation is a unique provider of comprehensive human development services for children and families in the State of Sarawak, with focus on early chilhood education. The programmes are operated in 58 centres, in urban and rural areas, serving over 2000 children from nearly 2000 families. SeDidik is governed by a 6-member Board of Directors. It employs over 197 staff, who are trained and having vast experience in early childhood and family education.
Child & Family Development Programme The programme was set up to act as a catalyst for the development of the child, family and community. It aims to develop communities of excellent individuals by providing young children with the opportunity to acquire basic skills, knowledge and athe ttitude to develop their potential. This project works on the belief that children are born intelligent and that they have the right to be brought up to have the finest quality in life. Curriculum Primary attention is devoted to assure a holistic and high quality early childhood education through the programmes(required under the Ministry of Education National Pre-School Curriculum and Welfare Department) as follows:

Mother's Workshop Covers an array of activities such as educational materials for children health and nutrition, handicraft classes and safety in the home. Parenting Seminars Enhance the parent-child relationship by improving parenting competence to enable parents to take active roles in influencing their children's learning and development. SeDidik believes that parents are the first and primary educators of their children. Parent-Facilitator Partnership Fosters and improves the learning climate and support system for the children by co-ordinating homes with Centres. Motivation Seminars Help participants, particularly students, discover special qualities they possess that give them the ability to move others and make them unique as leaders. Academic Guidance Classes Provide a supervised atmosphere where each child is given the opportunity to participate in activities and homework time. Holiday Camps Offer the participants an opportunity to live together in a safe, healthy, cheerful yet challenging outdoor surrounding. COLLABORATION SeDidik has national and international networks comprimising of government and private agencies and institutions.
