The fisheries related activities undertaken are as follows:

PPES AQUA SANTUBONG SDN. BHD. 

Incorporated on 26 March 1986, PPES Aqua (Santubong) Sdn Bhd commenced its operation in 1993.
 

Prawn farm at Kuala Santubong

It is a wholly-owned subsidiary company of SEDC. The prawn farm is located at Kuala Santubong, Kuching. The farm comprises 75 grow-out ponds, with annual production of 1,700 metric tonnes. Construction works on additional 28 ponds are in progress, to make a total of 103 grow-out ponds.

NEW AQUACULTURE AREAS

The Corporation has applied for new areas for aquaculture development as follows:

1.    At Kuala Santubong (adjacent to the existing prawn farm) totaling 50.58 hectares.
2.    At Tg. Manis (Halal Hub Zone) totaling 100 hectares.
