SARAWAK COCONUT ENTERPRISE SDN BHD A wholly owned subsidiary of SEDC, this company is involved in the production of coconut cream powder (Santan) and low-fat desiccated coconut. The factory is located at Asajaya, Samarahan Division where coconuts are found in abundance. The coconut cream powder is packed in 20 kg bulk-pack and in 50 gm consumer-pack. 60% of the production is exported and 40% is for domestic market. The low-fat desiccated coconut is mainly for the export markets (Japan, Europe and Canada). Joint venture partners / operators are being sought for this company.

CARBON SUPPLIES (SARAWAK) SDN BHD This is a joint-venture between SEDC (40%), Versatec Industries Sdn Bhd (30%), Pertubuhan Peladang Kawasan Samarahan (15%) and Pertubuhan Peladang Kawasan Simunjan (15%). The company owns an activated carbon production plant located at the Kota Samarahan Industrial Estate, Samarahan Division. The production is for export markets (Japan, Europe and Canada). It is currently operated by Bravo Green Sdn Bhd, on lease basis. The activated carbon has varied applications such as for water filtration/treatment, and in gold recovery.
