FISHERIES

The fisheries related activities undertaken are as follows:

PPES AQUA (SANTUBONG) SDN BHD
 
Incorporated on 26 March 1986, PPES Aqua (Santubong) Sdn Bhd commenced its operation in 1993.

It is a wholly-owned subsidiary company of SEDC. The aquaculture farm located at Kuala Santubong, Kuching. The farm comprises of 54 grow-out ponds and a hatchery facility.  Annual production is about 300 metric tons.

PROPOSED TIGER PRAWN FARM AT SEMPADI, LUNDU

A 160- ha. site has been approved for the project. SEDC is looking for a joint venture partner to develop the land.
